Honest God Truth

 March 30, 2024 ”“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah“ ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Anticipating a big event like Easter, is terrifying and yet very exciting!  Is everything ready, are all involved prepared, will the spectators hearts be ready to receive the planned message?  All this is too overwhelming to comprehend so we wait in silence for starting time.  Yet waiting on the Lord is wonderful for he is in charge, he controls all the variables, not a single task will be overlooked.  Waiting on Jesus is glorious for we know his timing is perfect.  Is there something you are trusting God for and has not yet happened, be of great joy for the Lord knows your situation.  He loves you so much and will give you all things in its time.  Praise God for Easter Saturday, Jesus died for us and know that Easter Sunday is...

 March 29, 2024 ”And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭43‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The hope and assurance of Jesus' words that the thief would be with him in paradise when they both die.  This is or hope that when we die our spirit will go and be with Jesus.  Absent from the body present with the Lord.  Death no longer has its power over us because Jesus paid the penalty of our sins.  Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen

 March 28, 2024 ”Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God,“ ‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus shows us how to glorify God in all things.  He knew that God was in control and had given Jesus authority and power to do his mission of atoning our sins.  He understood his purpose and knew that after completing his mission he would go back to his Father.  When our eyes are open to the truth of God this understanding will set us free to obey God's command to love God and our neighbors more than ourself.  Lord open our eyes to your love and truth for us.  Amen

 March 27, 2024 Romans  12:1  “ I  appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a  living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your  rational service. ”   Romans  twelve  is where doctrine and duty meet , where faith produces works, and where the law is played out through the  Holy  Spirit. Many people believe that the first eleven chapters of Romans is all  doctrine,  and the last five chapters is the daily living as a Christian.  This  is   true,   but they are not two separate teaching s.  Paul  takes  eleven chapters to explain what God has done for us,  through  his mercy and grace,  then  when he says in the first verse of chapter twelve, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice , it doesn’t sound crazy but  becomes  reasonable and makes  sense.  Paul is a very rational ,  logical pers...

 March 27, 2024 ”Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.“ ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Why should we not be anxious about anything?  Because the Lord Jesus is with us and we must realize that truth and act believing that he hears us and will take care of us.  This action is reasonable because that is how someone who God is always with them and loves them.  Lord help us to live knowing you love us and are always with us.  Amen

 March 27, 2024 ”Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What an amazing Lord we have and there are people who realize it and others that don't.  Jesus was at the house of Simon the leper.   Leper was not his last name but what disease he had.  He was probably heals by Jesus and was celebrating his miracle.  The women who anointed him with perfume realized how wonderful he was yet his disciples were angry because they thought it was a waste of money.  Lord Jesus you are amazing and we are so thankful that the Lord of all died for us.  Amen

 March 26, 2024 ”Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.“ ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How can we have confidence to draw near to God if we are asking for mercy?  Mercy means you need to be forgiven for what you did wrong.  Confidence usually means you are sure of yourself and think you are worthy of your request.  The truth is none of us are worthy to approach God on our own.  Our confidence is in the love of Jesus as he lived a perfect life and died for our sins.  Our confidence is in Jesus work for us and that we know that God the Father accepted Jesus sacrifice for us.  Oh what a savior we have in the Lord Jesus!  Amen

 March 26, 2024 ”Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭25‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How can anyone hate his life?  It is a natural thing to love your life that is all we know since birth.  We naturally take care of ourselves and often fight to get what we want.  The answer is love, for this strong feeling toward someone or something causes us to stop thinking about ourselves.  When love takes hold of you its power can overcome selfishness.  Therefore God demonstrated his love for us by sending Jesus into the world and Jesus loved the Father so much that he gave himself up as an atonement to God for our sins.  When we understand what God the Father did for us by sending Jesus to die for us we can experience his love.  This truth opens our eyes to love God and others more than ourselves and we gladly hate our sins and desire to be like the Lord Jesus.  Oh how wonderful love truly i...

 March 25, 2024 ”And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.“ ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ There are times when we feel all our energy and efforts are gone.  We need more than we can give to complete the task.  The truth of the Bible can give us exactly what our heart needs.  Help!  Jesus is God the Creator who made you and knows what you need.  He delights in his children recognizing their need for him and asks for help.  The simple asking for help shows that you believe in him and that faith glorifies him.  Therefore by knowing that God has begun a good work in you by giving you faith in Jesus, when you need him, which is always, ask him and he will continue to make you holy and righteous giving you the energy and desire to accomplish your task.  Praise you Jesus.  Amen

 March 23, 2024 ”I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.“ ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What does it mean to live by faith in the Son of God?  Three words that need to be understood live, faith, and the Son of God.  Live is the opposite of death, it is active, thinking and moving, with emotions and feelings.  When a stimulus occurs a person who is living responds.  How they respond depends on what they believe will happen at the moment of interactions.  Will the interaction be positive or negative often corresponds to their faith.  If faith is based in the knowledge that the interaction will be safe, their responds will be good.  Faith in the Son of God is extremely  strong since nothing is more safe than God.  Living by faith in God gives boldness that allows one to be loving, ki...

 March 23, 2024 ”But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.“ ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Ask God in faith for without faith it is impossible to please God.  Wisdom and faith are connected by truth for without truth there cannot be either one.  Jesus said you shall know the truth and it will set you free.  Lord when we ask you for anything let it be based in your truth and by faith trust and act with wisdom.  Amen

 March 23, 2024 ”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.“ ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Wisdom is knowing the truth and acting on it.  When God gives us wisdom he opens our mind to knowing him for he is truth, then he gives us the faith to trust him and act to glorify him.  A wise person knows and believes in God.  Lord Jesus give us more wisdom so we may glorify you.  Amen

 March 23, 2024 ”But it is good for me to draw near unto God: I have made the Lord Jehovah my refuge, That I may tell of all thy works.“ ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭73‬:‭28‬ ‭ASV‬‬ The psalmist learned to draw near to God in what he does, thinks and says.  This knowledge of God does two things, first his trust in his presence gives him comfort that the unchanging all powerful God is with him.  Second it causes him to praise God and tell of all his goodness which glorifies the Lord God.  Lord Jesus help us to be aware of your constant presence in our life.  Amen

 March 22, 2024 ”Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Why should we live righteous life's?  Because we have been brought from death to life by believing in Jesus Christ.  We once were dead to God because we were slaves to sin and Satan.  Jesus came to save us from Satan's evil and to live for God who is holy and righteous.  Therefore we must deny our fleshy lusts and live holy lives glorifying God.  We have the joy to glorify the Lord as his children.  Celebrate your new birth in Christ today!  Amen

 March 22, 2024 ”On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.“ ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭138‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God always answers the prayers of his people.  Jesus said you don't receive because you don't ask.  So two things happen when we interact with God.  One we don't ask him for things because we don't believe we will receive them for most often they are selfish lust that don't fit into his will. It is difficult to ask the living God for sinful things.  And two we ask and receive but our eyes and heart can't see the answer.  We have in our minds what we think we need and God often has other answers that we can't or won't see.  Prayer should be an openness to receive from the Lord who knows everything we need before we ask him.  Lord help us to come to you humbly knowing that you love us and give us what we need to glorify you.  Amen

 March 21, 2024 ”May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The Holy Spirit gives you hope that produces joy and peace.  Even when you go through troubles of many kind you may have joy and peace because the Holy Spirit is always with you.  Oh the hope we have because when God is with you no one can take your hope away.  Praise you Jesus.  Amen

 March 21, 2024 ”Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.“ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The Lord is the Holy Spirit and when you put your trust in Jesus you receive the Holy Spirit to dwell in you.  Oh the power to do right is in us if we only yield to his will.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart for he is the power of God.  All things are possible with God.  Amen

 March 20, 2024 ”And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.“ ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When Jesus returns to earth as reigning King his church will be ready to meet him as his bride on their wedding day.  Everyone who has belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ are being made new and will be completely holy, righteous and pure at that day, for God is preparing us for his Son.  This truth should amaze us and give us unfailing hope in God.  Jesus come soon.  Amen

 March 20, 2024 ”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.“ ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do and doing it!  When we ask God for wisdom is it not asking him to give us the desire to do the right thing.  Jesus said that two commandments summarize all of them, love God and love others.  So wisdom means whenever we have to make a decision love for God and others must be chosen.  So we need the Lord's help to open our eyes to desire God and others more than ourselves.  Not an easy task but with God all things are possible.  Jesus help us to be wise.  Amen

 March 19, 2024 ”But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.“ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭20‬:‭24‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This verse gives us the purpose for living, "to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."  Our actions and our words and our thoughts should testify that Jesus came to save us from our sins and bring us into the presence of God.  Something that we don't deserve or even want until he breaks through our hardened hearts and graciously opens our eyes to see his love for us.  Nothing is greater or more important than to testify to this truth.  Thank you Lord for your grace to me.  Amen

 March 19, 2024 ”For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The Bible gives us endurance and encouragement to hope in God's promises.  Hope is confidence that God will provide all our needs now and in the future.  In order to continue in hope the Bible tells us by reading and believing in what we read and it gives us endurance to carry on during difficult times.  This encourages us with the joy of God love even in the mist of trouble.  Lord Jesus thank you for being and giving us your word.  Amen

 March 18, 2024 ”But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Pray to your Father who is in and sees in secret.  What does in and sees in secret mean?  Secret means kept hidden from view and God is kept hidden but sees.  When we pray in public we often pray to the people and not to God.  Our audience distracts our heart to please or impress them.  When we pray with the intention to interact with God who we can't see or hear we must realize that he hears us and sees our needs.  Praying with the knowledge that God is in secret and sees us gives us confidence that we are loved and cared for by the living God.  March 17, 2024 ”For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.“ ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ These to verses are so wonderful that to understand them is beyond our capability.  Yet they are true and full of mystery.  The fullness of God dwells in Jesus and since Jesus has a body God connects with mankind through Jesus.  Then we are filled in him by our faith in his work on the cross and his resurrection receiving the Holy Spirit.  We are filled in him not him filled in us which may mean that our soul is in Jesus and we are no longer citizens on earth but members of God's family in Jesus.  Oh what a wonderful mystery.  Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen 

 March 17, 2024 ”And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.“ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭34‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When we find a great person who does amazing things and motivates and challenges us to be better, we want to follow him, copy him, be like him.  So when Jesus told the people who were crowded around him  to stop living for themselves and start being like him it was a normal thing to do.  Jesus lived to help others by teaching them the way to God.  If you truly love someone you want to be like them.  Jesus is calling us today to stop living for ourselves and live like him and tell people how to connect with God through him. Lord help us to see you with all your glory.  Amen

 March 16, 2024 ”But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We are not our own we are bought with a price.  This price is two fold, one God made us and God saved us.  If God is for us who can be against us?  Lord please help us believe your Holy Word and obey it for in it are the words of eternal life.  We are your creatures made in your image to glorify you.  Praise you Lord God forever.  Amen

 March 16, 2024 ”For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.“ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus said don't worry about your life because God will give you everything you need.  When we worry about staying alive and protecting ourself it ends us being sinful.  The good news that Jesus proclaimed was that God will take care of you so you can live for him instead of yourself.  We are called to trust in Jesus and not in our own understanding.  This is a radical, exciting, righteous life that ends in glorifying the Lord forever.  Let us Lord trust in you today.  Amen 

 March 15, 2024 ”The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.”“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭35‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Fasting is giving up lesser to receive the greater.  When you feel away from the Lord give up what is hindering seeing him and hearing him more closely.  Lord help us to choose you over anything that keeps us from you.  Amen

 Match 14, 3024 ”“You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.“ ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The Lord made the heavens and the earth and everything in them.  He also keeps everything going.  He is not a creator who puts his creation on a shelf and is finished with it.  Jesus is the power that makes life continue.  He is the light of the universe.  Without Jesus there would be not light or life and it is he who loves us and died for our sins.  Oh what a wonderful Lord we have in Jesus.  Amen

 March 13, 2024 ”So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.“ ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭31‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How can we do everything for the glory of God?  We must please God, do what he wants us to do.  We must love him and keep his commandments like Jesus did to his Father.  It all begins and ends with trusting him to give us what we need at all times.  Instead of trying to meet our own needs we must trust that God will provide for us all things.  That gives him glory! Amen

 March 13, 2024 ”“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”“ ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God is worthy to receive our honor and praise.  Worthy is an interesting word. It means deserving of one's time, talent, attention, praise.  When we say God is worthy it means we should make him extremely important for who he is and what he has done.  Our creator God is most worthy of all are praise and honor him with all our being.  Amen

 March 12, 2024 ”“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Fasting is not bondage but freedom.  It is not burdensome but joyful.  It's the removal of chains that keep us from experiencing the pleasures of a relationship with God our maker.  The more we die to selfishness the greater our love and delight we have in the Lord Jesus who loved us so much that he died for our sins that separate us from God.  Oh Lord thank you for fasting!  Amen

 March 12, 2024 ”So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.“ ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What does it mean that God created mankind in his own image?  God is invisible so how can he have an image?  When mankind was made God saw himself in mankind in a way that was not present in everything else he created.  There was a connection that reflected this image of uniqueness.  It's like when family members have something that shows they are connected like beautiful eyes, red hair, certain phrases they all say!  God made us like him and we must strive to become more like him everyday for that is what we were made and destined to become.  What a privilege and responsibility to be a child made in God's image.  Amen

 March 11, 2024 ”For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.“ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬ ‭ When we realize that we are born again by the Holy Spirit we no longer are living for ourself but in Jesus.  As we grow in his grace we become less self gratifying and more Christ exulting.  Therefore we are dying to our selfishness and become more like Jesus.  Lord help us to give us ourself to you.  Amen

 March 9, 2024 ”“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The most famous verse in the Bible because it gives an  ultimatum to perish or live forever.  It's a no brainer to choose life but most do not.  Why does this happen, the only answer is unbelief in the gospel of Jesus.  If this verse is true then we must believe.  If you don't believe at times this verse should scare you and make you plead for help.  Jesus help us to believe in you everyday.  Amen 

 March 9, 2024 ”When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”“ ‭‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Do you love me more than these.  What does more mean and who or what are these?  If more means love Jesus more than the other apostles love Jesus then Peter would be better than the other apostles. If Jesus is asking if Peter loves Jesus more and he loves the apostles then he would not love the apostles enough to protect them.  It seems what Jesus is asking Peter and all of us, do we love the attention and affection of mankind more than pleasing and following God's will that may be difficult?  Loving God means finding joy in trusting and following God's righteousness.  Lord give us the faith and strength to find our joy in you.  Amen 

 Match 8, 2024 ”Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How can we be strong in the Lord? We need to be in the strength of his might.  Jesus said he would be with us and that means we have all his strength available for us if we trust in him and do his will.  When we depend on him we become strong in him giving us the strength of his mighty power.  Therefore we must know that Jesus is with us and we must trust his promises and so do his will then we become strong in him.  Lord help us to be strong in you.  Amen

 March 7, 2024 ”And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭21‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus will come back with power and great glory.  Unlike his first coming as a humble baby.  God's ways are not our ways for we all want our will be done and not God's will.  Our will is not waiting on the Lord but doing what we think is best for us.  Jesus will come in power and glory after he accomplished the gospel his Father sent him to do.  Lord help us to wait patiently in doing your will and not our own desires, for you will give us the desires of our heart when we trust in you.  Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen 

 March 6, 2024 ”You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But not a hair of your head will perish.“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭21‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How can you be put to death but not a hair of your head will perish?  If Jesus contradicting himself?  That could never happen so then what does he mean?  You may and probably will physically die but you will never perish for Jesus the source of all life will be with you.   When Jesus rose from the dead he went to the Father and sent the Holy Spirit to be with us.  We have life living in us and Jesus promised never to leave us.  So we will never perish even when we die!  Praise you Jesus.  Amen

 March 5, 2024 ”When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Our salvation was finished, complete, Jesus fulfilled every prophet, every requirement of the Law.  All was done for the door to God was open to all who believe in Jesus.  The Lord of the universe came and completed the will of his Father perfectly.  Oh let us come and worship the Lord Jesus.  Amen

 March 4, 2024 ”When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”“ ‭‭John‬ ‭19‬:‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬ As the Lord was dying on the cross to open the way for sinners to be joined back to God he showed his great compassion by caring for his mother.  Jesus is King of the universe and also our savior who loves us individually.  Jesus you are wonderful and I love you so!  Praise you Lord God.  Amen

 March 3, 2024 ”But he looked directly at them and said, “What then is this that is written: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭20‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We can not build the house of the Lord without Jesus Christ being the cornerstone.  Yet many people try to build without him and they efforts fail.  Even when they know about the stone they ignore it and it will trip them up and they will fall.  Then eventually when they totally reject the cornerstone it will crust them as punishment of their pride of not believing in him.  Lord Jesus you are the cornerstone of our lives help us to trust you, depend on you and love you so we won't trip or be crushed for our disbelief.  Amen

 March 2, 2024 ”Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”“ ‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭37‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The truth that Jesus bears witness to is that he is the King of the universe.  The king who comes to rescue his people from their sin.  Have you heard his voice that tells you I died for your sins, I love you and want to live with you forever in my kingdom.  Lord open our ears and heart to hear Jesus calling us to his truth so we may live in his kingdom glorifying him.  Amen

 March 2, 2024 ”saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭38‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When Jesus approached Jerusalem on Palm Sunday the people were shouting peace in heaven and glory in the highest.  They were announcing Jesus victory over sin making peace between God and his creation.  What a wonderful way God shows his glory by sending Jesus his only begotten Son to be the peace offering for all times. The Pharisees tried to get Jesus to have the people stop shouting.  Jesus response is amazing and true for creation itself looks forward to the redemption of God's people for it to will have its curse removed.  Even the rocks themselves would shout out that the Messiah is bringing peace to the glory of the highest.  Lord let us embrace your work on the cross as our great, wonderful redemption.  Amen

 March 1, 2024 ”Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.“ ‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When Jesus predicts the future it is not that he sees what is going to happen he makes it happen.  The rooster crowed because Jesus made him crow.  There is no randomness in the world, no chance, no luck.  Everything is governed by the power and will of the Lord God.  Jesus knows the future because he rules everything.  Trusting in Jesus and his word is the smartest thing we can ever do for he is the source of all life.  Praise you Jesus.  Amen

 March 1, 2024 ”I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”“ ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭ESV‬‬ In Jesus is peace but in the world tribulations.  How can we have peace in the world?  By being in Jesus, his love and forgiveness.  His salvation and his sovereign will to never leave us or forsake us.  We are in the world but not part of the world for our Lord is Jesus.  He makes all the difference.  Praise you Lord God.  Amen
