Ask for help

 March 25, 2024

”And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.“

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬


There are times when we feel all our energy and efforts are gone.  We need more than we can give to complete the task.  The truth of the Bible can give us exactly what our heart needs.  Help!  Jesus is God the Creator who made you and knows what you need.  He delights in his children recognizing their need for him and asks for help.  The simple asking for help shows that you believe in him and that faith glorifies him.  Therefore by knowing that God has begun a good work in you by giving you faith in Jesus, when you need him, which is always, ask him and he will continue to make you holy and righteous giving you the energy and desire to accomplish your task.  Praise you Jesus.  Amen

A chosen privilege

 “And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have not chosen God's love first, it is God who has chosen us.  What a glorious and tremendous responsibility.  The God of the universe has chosen us to represent him in his world.  With this truth placed deep in our heart we must love Jesus and others more than ourselves because that is the character of God.  Our privilege and responsibility is huge.  We must submit to the Holy Spirit to live righteously for we are witnesses to king Jesus.  Amen

Be sober for the day

 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is called the morning star, bringing light into this evil dark world.  When we taste and see that the Lord is good we live in his light which is called day.  Paul encouraged us to be sober in preparing for Jesus' return.  He means to mentally and spiritually be clear in our thinking about our faith. To be self disciplined, and vigilant concerning our hope and belief in Jesus' love and presence.  When doubt and danger tempt us we need to stay sober and put on the armor of God and trust in the Lord.   Lord help us to be ready to serve you by loving you and others until you come.  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen
