Jesus remember me

“And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:42‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This verse is the door that opens eternal life. If our eyes are open to the love of Jesus we desire him.  There is nothing more essential in life than to see, love and obey Jesus.  His love for us is so great that all we have to do is ask him to forgive us and save us. We have the gift of knowing Jesus before we die through the Holy Spirit and his word.  Jesus will never leave us or forsake us because he will remember us on that day when we see him face to face.  What a glorious day that will be.  Thank you Jesus for your love for us. Amen

Jesus is always with us

Hebrews 13:5-6 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” The fear of being alone is real. So is the truth that Jesus is always with us.  The battle of faith is one that must be won by the Holy Spirit through the word of God.  How important to know the truths of the Bible by heart so we will not sin against the Lord. One of the most hideous sins is unbelief.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.  So let up ask the Lord to increase our faith by feeding in the word of God and by the Holy Spirit live with the assurance that Jesus is always with us.  Amen

Incorruptible love

Ephesians 6:24 “Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible.”  Oh what it would be like to love others with love that is incorruptible. To love others purely, honestly, selfishly like Jesus does to us. When we tell people about God’s love for them by Jesus life, death and resurrection we are sharing an incorruptible love. So we need to know that Jesus’s love flows through us when we humbly share his incorruptible love with them. Jesus help us to love others like you for your glory. Amen

Jesus is the victor for us

Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” The ability to win in our trials of life is Jesus. He gives us life both physical and spiritual when we are born and born again. He is the truth of all things, everything was made by him and for him.  He is righteous for everything he does and wants us to do is right for he is the ultimate judge. He is the way because he is the only way to eternal life. And he is the Word of God and when we learn more about him our faith will grow in him and the Holy Spirit will give us the ability to trust his word.  If God is for us who can be (win) against us?  No one, not even Satan!  All praise to you Lord Jesus. Amen

Cheerful servant

Ephesians 6:8 “knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free.”   We as believers represent Jesus in everything we do and we desire to glorify him because we love him. Jesus has done everything for us in this life. He has given us life, breath, forgiveness, joy, direction and help in our path to righteousness. This verse he gives us motivation for doing more. Everything good we do for others Jesus sees and will reward us in heaven. We can’t work our way into heaven, it is a gift, but there will be rewards in heaven for all those who die to their own needs and serve cheerfully others. Even if no one ever knows all the kindness you have done, Jesus does!  Oh what a wonderful Lord and Savior we have!  Thank you Jesus. Amen

Blessed are the pure in heart

“To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.” Titus 1:15 ESV Jesus said “blessed is the pure in heart for they will see God.”  When we allow the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to God working in the world we are blessed. Then with that joy we can share and bless others.  We must choose to keep our hearts pure by trusting Jesus and his word then the Holy Spirit will guide us to see the love of Jesus working. All for your glory Jesus. Amen

Love with discipline

Ephesians 6:1-4 (ESV) “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Loving your children means to teach them right from wrong. Discipline is a part of love for it corrects error in a way that causes us to desire righteousness. When we experience evil, sin, we must be taught that it leads to death and destruction. The result of working for sinful desires will eventually kill us. Therefore if we really love our children we will teach them to walk the narrow path of righteousness that leads to eternal life. With our eyes open leaning on Jesus the entire way. He is our helper and our goal.  It’s all about you Jesus.  Amen

Feeding in the word

“The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How do we know we are a child of God?  This verse says that the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit.  How does the Holy Spirit bear witness?  Most often through the Word of God.  When we read or hear the Bible the Holy Spirit works in your heart and you accept it as truth as spiritual food.  You say to yourself amen this is true.  Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit and his word to transform our lives to become like him.  And if we are children then we are heirs to God which gives us a great inheritance, eternal life! We are so blessed and we need to be affirmed daily that we are indeed a child of God by feeding in scripture.  Thank you Jesus.  Amen

Open our eyes to your truthful

“And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:34‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When you cast lots you give up your decision to chance.  But proverbs tells us that every roll of the dice is determined by God.  Jesus was on the cross for a specific reason to pay for our sins. The people who put him there did not know it and the casting lots was a witness against them. Jesus in his great love asked the father to forgive them.  We must forgive others when their eyes are closed to the truth of the gospel. Maybe our prayers for them God will use to open their eyes and heart to him. Thank you Jesus. Amen

Run to Jesus

“For it was the Lord’s doing to harden their hearts that they should come against Israel in battle, in order that they should be devoted to destruction and should receive no mercy but be destroyed, just as the Lord commanded Moses.” ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭11:20‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This verse stated very certainly that God is sovereign and there is no chance in this world.  God is on the throne of this world and is actively governing every battle, every natural event, every act of mercy and justice.  When we know what God wants us to do we should not hesitate but move forward in faith knowing that God loves us through Jesus. We don’t want our hearts hardened against His love.  We must examine our hearts daily and see if there is any evil.  If so we must run to Jesus and confess our sins.  He is able and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Lord we need you oh we need you. Amen

Humble yourself before the Lord

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:6-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Humble is being submissive to an authority either by force or willingly. We as believers our so blessed to have our eyes open to the truths about our wonderful, amazing God and Savior Jesus Christ.  We have a glimpse of glory now and humbly wait in great expectations when we see all He glory.  In the meantime we are encouraged to cast all our troubles onto Him for He cares for us.  What a friend we have in Jesus...   Amen

Count it all joy

“If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:14, 18-19‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We all love to be appreciated and praised for doing good things.  But the joy of being a Christian is that we can rejoice when we are insulted and suffer for doing good because we know that the Holy Spirit is living in us.  Knowing that we are a part of God’s eternal family is more precious than anything this world can offer us.  So let us rejoice in our trials and temptation for we know that God is working in us for his good pleasure and our amazing joy!  Thank you Jesus, Amen

Better to give

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16 It is better to give than receive.  God so loved the world that He gave.....  We must learn that Jesus came to give us Himself in word, deed, and death.  He showed us that by giving himself we all receive eternal life. We have been so blessed by God because we can participate in the great plan of giving to others in Jesus name for his glory. What joy awaits us if we trust the Lord and love others more than ourselves and be like Him (Father God) who gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will receive (a gift) eternal life.  Thank you Jesus. Amazing grace, Amen

We are blessed Lord

“Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭144:15‬ ‭ESV ‬‬ We are so blessed as children of God.  This truth is overwhelming and full of awe.  We are chosen to reflect the glory of the God of the universe that died for our sins.  Jesus help us understand in our minds and experience in our heart the joy of our relationship with you. Let us never take your love for us for granted. Thank you Jesus.  Amen

Freedom to serve

“For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:15-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The freedom Jesus gives us, in the forgiveness of our sin and our being justified by His death on the cross, we can choose to be slaves to others.  We need not demand our own wills because we are secure in Jesus’ love for us.  Our freedom is a marvelous gift that allows us to be servants to everyone God brings into our life, even our enemies! Freedom to die to our own selfishness.  Amazing grace!  Thank you Jesus.

Taste and see the Lord is good for battling sin

“So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:1-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ If we tasted that the Lord is good then what? Our desire to want what is good and flee what is evil starts with tasting, seeing, believing in Jesus.  If that doesn’t happen all our efforts are wasted rags!  You can’t desire something you have never tasted. You can’t give up something good if you don’t have hope for something better.  We can fight against sin by being delighting in the Lord daily through prayer and His word and by worshipping His glory.  Let us desire the pure milk of salvation and battle with strength and hope for eternal life.  All this through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Amen

Love Jesus battle sin

Ephesians 5:5-6 “For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” When we become believers in Jesus we have this overwhelming desire to love and obey Him. It is a great experience and we hope it last until we see Jesus face to face.  But we still have sin in our lives that tempts us to disobey and find fun in dishonorable ways.  We must battle those desires by prayer, reading scripture and worship. When we fail and sin we must ask Jesus for forgiveness and repent.  The warning is strong that if we give up the battle for righteousness we will experience God’s wrath. That is why Paul said “to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” Jesus keep us loving you and battling sin. For your glory Jesus and our joy. Ame...

God’s love and curses

“and for all the mighty power and all the great deeds of terror that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭34:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What strikes me over and over was the power of God displayed throughout this book. Both the blessings it produces and the cursing.  The Lord is teaching me to realize that God is a loving God and a Holy God.  In His loving presence is fullness of joy but in He wrath is fullness of terror.  Lord Jesus help me to love what you love and hate what you hate.  For your glory Jesus.  Amen

God revealed Jesus to us

“He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” 1 Peter 1:20-21 ESV We as believers are most blessed because Jesus came to reveal God to us so we can believe that God loves us.  Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead is the greatest event in all history.  When we believe our faith and hope in God changes everything.  Death and sin is destroyed, life and righteousness is eternal and hope for God’s glory is our destiny. Therefore we should live for Jesus and others and not for ourself.  Jesus help us to trust you today.  Amen

Who God is

““‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.” Deuteronomy 32:39 ESV If I can learn anything from Moses this verse I must burn on my heart.  God is the mover of this world. He acts and we obey.  All we have, all we become, all that we know and accomplish is by and in the Lord God.  When we learn to fear the Lord and understand who He is and what He has done and is doing we fall in our face and thank Him and praise Him for Jesus His Son, our Savior, Lord, and God!  Help us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling for God you are working in us for your glory.  Amen

Salvation of our souls

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:8-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Our end result of the faith that God has given us is the salvation of our souls.  What a wonderful gift, even though we can’t see the Lord we love and believe in Him for He has given us joy and peace through our trials and temptations.  The glory that will be revealed in us, because of the faith that God is growing in us, is truly amazing grace! Thank you Jesus, Amen

Same God always

Deuteronomy 29 & 30 are full of verses that the New Testament quoted and prove to me that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.   The Lord’s promises are the same blessings for love and obedience and curses for hardness of heart and disobedience.   The main difference is Jesus.   He gives us inheritance, righteousness, justification, forgiveness and the Holy Spirit with the power to obey when we believe in Him. We have to choose to love, obey and serve Him and when we do it proves we are His children because we can’t choose Him without His power working in us.   When we choose to sin and realize how bad it is we must run to Jesus for forgiveness and ask Him to help us to choose wisely next time.   Our hearts need to be in love with Jesus more and more.   Amen

Let us not coast into God’s curse

“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things,” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:47‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have a choice to serve the Lord with joy and gladness because He has blessed us or to be cursed by God if we don’t!  There is no middle ground.  So often it feels that we are just coasting in our serving and joy in the Lord.  The reality is we are being blessed or cursed.  The fear of the Lord is important for many things.  One thing it can help us not to coast for we much be joyful in the Lord or God’s curse may be on us.  Lord Jesus thank you for taking our deserved curse on yourself.  Let us rejoice and be glad to follow your ways and not receive God’s penalty for our sin and be curses!  Amen

Strength to allow

“may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,” Ephesians 3:18 ESV Comprehend that He will transform you is a great statement for it states two wonderful truths. One, God does the transforming in your life and two, we must participate by knowing and allowing Him to work.  It’s the part of our work that God uses in our sanctification.  To allow is to realize that God is able and willing to change us into His glory. It is the part of faith that requires mental participation.  God works through us and uses us for His glory.  I pray that I will allow Him to transform me into a vessel of honor and not dishonor.  Thank you Jesus.  Amen

Put on Jesus

Ephesians 4:20-24 “But that is not the way you learned in Christ! - assuming that you have heard about Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” When my heart was stone I always desired my way. What I thought was right was the highest priority I wanted. To be right in my thinking and acting the way I wanted was the desire of my heart of stone. Then when my eyes were open to Jesus’s love for me He planted a new heart in my soul that allowed me to love Him and the process of sanctification began with the Holy Spirit living in me. The thought of pleasing God more than myself begun. Thinking of others and pleasing them and Jesus began. The joy and delight of serving God and others thrilled me.  The struggle occurr...

God is the victory

“for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭20:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God chose Israel to be His people to show the world who He is.   It is God who lifts us and takes down.  He is the one who fights for His people and He receives the praise.  God is in charge of everything and as children of His through Jesus we will always have victories because He lives in us.  We may not see it now but if God is for you no one will win against you.  Faith always overcomes because it knows that Jesus is the king and Lord.  Trust Him today and forevermore.  Amen

Be wise in goodness

“For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We need to be wise to what is good because goodness is from God.  Jesus said only God is good.  The more we understand what God is doing we will learn how to be wise and honor the Lord with our thinking and actions.  Being innocent to what is evil tells us to say away from evil, Don’t learn how it works or why people enjoy it.  Stay clear of evil and purity yourself in good.  Lord Jesus help us to desire good.  Amen

Hope that never fails

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This verse is the means and goal of being a Christian.  We believe and hope in God who gives us joy and peace.  God fills us with joy and peace by giving us His Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit empowers us to hope in the promises of scripture.  God has poured out His love to us while we are yet sinners.  That truth gives us hope which produces exceeding joy and peace. Oh Lord Jesus thank you for your love to me a sinner saved by grace.  Amazing love how can it be!  Amen

Faith to live

“The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.” Romans 14:22-23 ESV These verses talks about faith. Faith is believing, trusting and obeying the Lord.  When your faith is strong you will not condemn your behavior because your faith comes from and is anchored on Jesus. Our faith in Jesus directs our behavior and keeps us on the narrow path of righteousness. When we wander off the path by our sinful desires we lose our confidence in our behavior and condemn ourselves.  Then we must ask Jesus for forgiveness and repent.  Let not our confidence in doing right turn to pride but rejoice in the truth and make no provisions for our sinfulness. Then we will be blessed by God’s gift of faith for us to live and glorify Him. Thank you Jesus....

Put on Jesus

“Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:10, 14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How do you love your neighbors?  We must love for that is the fulfillment of the Law.  We must be perfect like our Heavenly Father is perfect.  God’s demands are extremely high to be His children. How can we love our neighbors as ourself?  We must put on Jesus and make no provisions for the flesh.  Putting on Jesus means believing in Him, obeying Him, receiving the Holy Spirit and depending on His power.  We have to love Jesus and allow His love to love others. Lord give us the desire to love you today so we may put you on and love our neighbors and fulfill your Laws. In Jesus name, Amen.

Think of others

“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:14-15‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When we truly understand all the Lord has done for us we should live like these verses.  Since God blesses us we can bless others.  When others are weeping we can weep with them because we know that the Lord suffered for us.  Rejoice with those who rejoice because our reward is certain in Jesus. So our behavior each day should be reaching out to others because we know the Lord Jesus will meet all our needs.  Thank you Jesus.  Amen

Trust God

“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:33, 36‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The greatest wisdom you can possess is to know God, trust God, and therefore, love God. We are called to faith in Jesus for our salvation and therefore become God’s children. And as children we learn that He is trustworthy and faithful.  We may not understand all that He does, but we know His love for us is secure in and through Jesus. Therefore we praise and worship Him today for from him and through him and in him are all things. To Him be the glory forevermore.  Amen

Faith alone saves you

“For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:10, 13, 17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We are saved through “faith alone” is a theological statement of receiving eternal life. Therefore, if this is true then we should try to understand it.  Paul describes faith compared to obedience of the law.  When our heart believers in the gospel of Jesus we are made just with God. When we confess this truth we are saved. God gets the glory.  We demonstrate our hearts desire by calling on Jesus to save us from our sinfulness.  And Paul says that these actions are called faith.  This faith comes by hearing the word of God and it is planted in our heart.  Then it produces fruit of right thinking, feelings, and actions.   And we begin to fulfill the commandments of loving God and loving ...

Bless others for God’s blessings

“Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We are called to receive a blessing from God.  How God often gives us His blessing is by being kind and loving to people.  Blessing comes in the doing of the work and the finishing of the job.  If God has put someone in your life then pray and ask the Lord how you should love that person. Doing God’s will results in a blessing. It could be peace or understanding, or love, or more joy.  When God calls He always blesses and wisdom is seeing and enjoying it.  Let us trust Jesus and bless others today. Amen

God chooses

“So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:16, 32‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Paul in chapter 9 desired that his people Israel would be saved.  But most rejected his message about Jesus.  He answered because God is choosing who will be children of mercy and of wrath.  He also said that faith is evident of God’s mercy for efforts of work alone will not save anyone. The standard is to high to achieve.  Only by grace are you saved through faith from God.  If you want to obey the law and hate sin than you are blessed.  Trust Jesus to empower you to achieve sanctification.  For His glory.  Amen
