Walking on troubled water
Nov 30, 2024 “He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.”” Matthew 14:29-30 ESV When we are in trouble we should turn to Jesus for help. Peter looked to Jesus and was able to walk on water which represented his trouble. Peter's trouble didn't go away but with Jesus in his sight he overcame the trouble. Then when Peter was walking with Jesus on the water he looked at the wind and not at Jesus he lost his faith and began to sink. When we think we can handle our troubles on our own and not trust in Jesus we sink back in to our troubles. Lord help us to remember to keep our eyes on you as we walk on our troubled waters. Praise you Jesus. Amen
