“Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭93:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ If the disciples really knew who Jesus was when the boat they were in was about to sink they would have had no fear!  For the Lord made the sea and the winds and at his word the sea would be calm!  When it happened they were amazed and full of fear.  That is where fear of the Lord and wonder of the Lord come together in the person of Jesus.  Lord Jesus you are King of Kings and God of all creation we are in awe of you and we are so thankful that you came to us as a lamb to be slain for us.  We love you Jesus, we love you Lord.  For your sake and glory Jesus, Amen

Know your heart know God

This is a deep one!  Love you.   Acts 1:24 “And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen.”  Peter after the resurrection wanted to replace Judas so he stated what were the qualifications of an apostle.  They were that the person must have been eye witness to Jesus through out his ministry on earth.  There were two people that qualified and then Peter prayed.  This may be one model we should use in making decisions.  Use our God given knowledge and then pray. We need both because truth and direction all come from the Lord. Peter’s prayer tells us that only God knows the heart and therefore know what the next action will be since the heart determines choices and choices determine future activities.  God knows the heart because that is where he works in humans.  We need to know our heart because when we do we will know what Jesus wants us to do.  Your word have I hide in my ...

Empower us today Jesus

Luke 24:45-49 “Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Lord a Jesus please open our minds to the Scriptures like you did for the apostles.  We need eyes to see the truth and hearts to believe what it says about you.  We are so thankful Jesus for your act of dying for our sins and we repent of our sinful ways again today.  Thank you Lord for sending us your Holy Spirit to empower us to love you, serve you, and be in the world but not of the world. Please let your glory shine through us in our obedience and praise to you so many eyes and hearts will be o...

Great pearls

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls,” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:45‬ ‭ESV All the great people of God had a view about the Lord that was more precious than anything else.  That view was so powerful it changed their life.  Walking with Jesus is looking into scripture and seeing the glory and beauty of God that gives us the desire to love him more and serve him with gladness.  Memories fade but a daily look at Jesus glory lasts forever.  Lord Jesus show us your glory today.  Amen

David’s heart

“For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭86:10-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Lord Jesus create in me a heart like David.  He knew who you are and loved you with fear and adoration. His life depended on you and you alone and he knew it.  He pleaded for your salvation and your power to over come. Please Lord help me to reflect your glory like David.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Jesus rested on the Sabbath

Luke 23:52-56 “This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53 Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and laid him in a tomb cut in stone, where no one had ever yet been laid. 54 It was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning.[f] 55 The women who had come with him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how his body was laid. 56 Then they returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. Jesus fulfilled all of scripture in his life and his death.  Everything went perfectly even though sin was used is the most grevious fashion.  Killing a perfect man is the greatest evil but God used it for the greatest good.  Jesus died on Friday and was laid to rest by Saturday the Sabbath. God rested on the Sabbath just like he did at creation he created in six days then he rested.  We can trust that God is in control in every aspect of life.  Jesus who died for us lives for us and...

God’s will be done

Luke 23:23-25 “But they were urgent, demanding with loud cries that he should be crucified. And their voices prevailed. 24 So Pilate decided that their demand should be granted. 25 He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus over to their will.”  Can you see the sovereignty of God working in the “trial” of Jesus?  If you were there you would say definitely no!  The chief priests and the Pharisees wanted Jesus dead and their shouts and desires prevailed.  Pilate’s reasoning made no difference to them because their wills were set.  Their desires were evil and Jesus was the victim of sin!  But God’s plan Jesus foretold many times before to his disciples and through the prophets of old that this was going to happen.  God works through people in miraculous ways and never hinders their wills yet always accomplished his will.  So be of good cheer always for the Lord Jesus wh...

Jesus fulfills Scripture

Luke 22: 35-37 “And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me has its fulfillment.” Jesus came to fulfill all that was written about him perfectly.  Truly amazing to think about and very hopeful.  God’s written word is true and must be fulfilled. We all look for truth for today and tomorrow and try to understand yesterday.  This is why reading the Bible is essential.  In it gives us information about God and mankind. We believe what it says about Jesus and gives us great hope for his love, salvation, strength and all we need for today and forever.  I pray that we read, meditate and pray that o...

Be a servant!

Luke 22: 26-27 “But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. 27 For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves.”  Jesus changed the world upside down when he said the leader should be the servant as he demonstrated.  Jesus is Lord, King of kings and very God of God.  Yet he came to serve us and die for our sins. When we grasp on to that truth it will change your life forever.  Satan wants to be god and control all of us.  Jesus controls all of us and chooses to be our servant.  When we have desires to control pray to Jesus to change our heart to become a servant who trusts his/her master.  It is better to give than receive.  Jesus gave his life for us and he is God. Jesus help us to be like you today.  For your glory and our joy.  Amen

Give all to Jesus

Luke 21:3-4 “And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. 4 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” What is our motivation for giving to the Lord? Why do we give?  Is it because God’s law says to give ten percent, or we were brought up to give to church, or we give to the poor and needy?  Well Jesus said that the widow gave more than the rich because she gave all that she had. Giving to God is an act of faith not a way to fulfill an obligation. People can be kind and care nothing about God. Believing in God and trusting him with our life is what should be our motivation. God knows are heart and when we trust him with all of our life he gets the glory.  Trusting in anything else robs him of glory.  Lord Jesus help us trust you with all our heart and live knowing how much you love us. It is for your glory Jesus and our joy.  Amen

Know the Lord like David

“May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, "God is great!"” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭70:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ David knew the Lord and rejoiced in him. He knew that the Lord was his help and salvation.  David loved the Lord for the Lord was the desire of his heart. Let us have the loving heart David has so we would know and love our Lord God Jesus Christ!  All praise to you Lord Jesus.  Amen

Living without sin!

Luke 20:34-36 And Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, 36 for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons[b] of the resurrection. Jesus said this after the scribes were testing him about the resurrection. They did not believe in it. God is life and all who know him have life in him. Because of sin we will die but if we have Jesus in us, who is the light of the world, we will never spiritually die and be raised from the dead  when Jesus returns and live forever without any sin or the consequences of sin. God’s plan for us is truly amazing and we need to rejoice everyday knowing what Jesus has done for us.  “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice!  Amen.

Love don’t hate Jesus

Luke 20: 26 “And they were not able in the presence of the people to catch him in what he said, but marveling at his answer they became silent.“  The Pharisees wanted to get ride of Jesus because he threatened to take away their power, position, and popularity.  They saw all the miracles and were angry because they couldn’t do them. In this verse when Jesus responded to their testing of paying taxes they marveled at Jesus’s answer!  They should have seen who he was and praised him instead of leaving with more reasons to get ride of him. When people today hear about Jesus the response is the same, they either love him or hate him, indifference is hate.  When the gospel is given we should praise him for opening our eyes so we can love him more.  Pray we love Jesus today and not hate him.  For Jesus glory and our joy.  Amen

God is the initiator

Christianity is based on the truth that God is the initiator of all things.  God moves and his creation respond. Without God moving there would never be a response for we are dependent totally on him.  We have been given the gift of self awareness and therefore make decisions based on our own experiences and logic.  We know that there is a God but have no capacity to love him. Until God opens our eyes to his glory we are trapped in our sin.  So if we love him and truly want to have a relationship with him then we praise him for his love for us.  We now know that we can do nothing without him.  Thank you Jesus. Amen

The rocks would praise him!

Luke 19:37-38 “As he was drawing near—already on the way down the Mount of Olives—the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, 38 saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” When Jesus was born the angels praised him and when he came into Jerusalem his disciples praised him saying peace in heaven.  Connecting heaven again with sinful mankind was Jesus purpose. The plan to redeem humans took the Lord God of the universe to come down from heaven. Jerusalem was the connecting point and when Jesus the mediator came to the city the culmination of the plan was to occur.  Heaven will rejoice, God will get the glory and mankind will obtain forgiveness.  The greatest redemptive plan ever was about to take place on the cross. Praise must occur and as Jesus said if his disciples didn’t praise him than the rocks would! All of creation...

Jesus our treasure

Luke19: 8 “And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”  Why did Zacchaeus  do this?  Did Jesus tell him to give to the poor and repay those you mistreated?  The Bible did not say so.  What happened?  When he had an encounter with Jesus everything changed.  Why did he want to see Jesus?  Why did Jesus say I must eat with you today?  When God works people change. When God touches your heart you see Jesus as your treasure and nothing else compares to him. Let’s be like Zacchaeus and desire Jesus and let our other wants and needs be less important.  Lord Jesus change my heart today for you.  For your glory and our joy!   Amen

Following Jesus

Luke 18: 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” The longer we live a life of following Jesus the more we realize how much we need him! With most experiences the more we practice the better we become and the less help we need. This is just the opposite with following Jesus. When we first start walking we see what Jesus is doing and try to copy him.  That is good but we soon realize we can do nothing without him.  He is not the example but the ability to do everything.  Instead of trying to imitate him we have to be empowered by him.  Jesus is more than a good person, the more you know him you realize he is God.  You learn to humble yourself and allow Jesus to use you.  You realize his love for you is the power that enables you to follow him. You choose to die to your sinful desires and become filled with his loving de...

Repent and forgive

Luke 17: 3-4 “Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, 4 and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”  Believes in Jesus still sin! Oh that it isn’t so but we still have our sinful nature that what it’s own way. We don’t ignore our sin or our believers sin.  We address it in love and often our friend will repent of the sin.  Then we need to forgive them and let our anger go.  Jesus said this type of interaction will occur often.  We are called to continue to repent and forgive.  How can we do this very difficult thing?  Only by faith in Jesus and by his power and his love.  Repentance is a gift and so is forgiveness.  On our own Godly relationship will not happen but through faith in Jesus all things are possible.  Therefore he gets the glory in our relationship not by our own ability.  Stay close to J...

Jesus fulfills the Law

Luke 16:16-17 “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it. 17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void.“ Jesus came not to offer a substitute but the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets.  The good news is that Jesus lived a perfect life never sinning and obeying every one of God’s laws and every word Proclaimed by the prophets. God had a plan and every part of it will happen.  The good news is that Jesus did it all and we by faith in him receive the gift of eternal life.  We live by the power of God in us to trust him and follow him where ever he leads us.  His plan for us is perfect and we live in a way that gives him praise.  And the way is by faith and obedience.  Our purpose is to give him the glory he desires.  Thank you Jesus

Not a bone broken

“Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ It was prophesied that not a bone in Jesus body would be broken and I alway wondered why?  In Psalms 51:8 David after his sin said that God had broken his bones.  Could it mean that David had to suffer of his sins so he would love the lord more?  Jesus loves God with all his heart always and never sinned.  He did not need to have a single bone broken for he was the perfect lamb of God.  Hallelujah to the Lord God almighty!  For Jesus glory and our joy.  Amen

Repentant sinners

Luke 15 Jesus tells his famous stories about repentance to the Pharisees because he was eating with tax collectors and sinners. Jesus said their was great rejoicing in heaven when one sinner repents than for 99 righteous people. Why are repentant sinners so special?  First their eyes have been opened to their sin and they receive the desire to be fixed.  If you don’t know you need help you will not seek it. Second seeking the Lord’s help gives Jesus all the glory for dying on the cross and taking our punishment. So, when a sinner repents it shows heaven and all who have eyes to see that God is working in that person to open their heart to the truth of Jesus. That causes celebration because it shows how loving our God is “while we were yet sinners Christ died for us”!Thank you Jesus.  All for your glory and our joy!  Amen

Die daily to receive joy

Luke 14: 26-27. “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. What does it cost to be a Christian? Answer, everything that you have and you are!  We sometimes say we are Christian and something else and that may be true but following Jesus means giving everything to him. Taking up our cross means dying to our sinful desires and desiring to please God. We can’t add our faith to our wants, we must want Jesus more than anything and from that desire Jesus will give us the desires of our heart.  Jesus must be first always!  Since Jesus is God we exist because of him and find our purpose and joy in him.  Everything we want, hope, desire come from him and are satisfied in him.  The good news is that he made us to love him and to receive his love. What an amazing God. P...

Enter the narrow door

Luke 13: 23-24 “And someone said to him, “Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.“  Will we be saved from our sins that should send us to hell?  Jesus said to strive to enter through the narrow door. If you want to be saved you must desire it.  You must be active in your pursuit, an urgency to escape the wrath of God.  Many are called but few are chosen. Those who are chosen will have the desire, the ability and the correct actions to get in to the kingdom of God. Jesus said you will find me if you seek me with all of your heart. I want to encourage us to daily ask for Jesus help to seek him, follow him, serve him and love him.  For without him we can do nothing, but with him we will enter the narrow door. For Jesus is the door and no one will come to the Father but by or through me.  It’s all about Jesus!  Amen

Living the sabbath

“For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The Sabbath was to offer rest to God’s people from their work. Time to praise God for all his goodness. Time to trust God more than their efforts to succeed.  When Jesus came he was the Sabbath, the rest of God. Being God he is greater than the pointer to God. He showed us how to rest in him. How to love, to show mercy and to be just. A sign tells you about something to come.  Jesus was and is that something.  Let everyday be a sabbath day living in Jesus. Amen

Fear the Lord

Luke 12:4-5, 32, I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! 32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Fear is a powerful emotion that God has given us for our protection. Fear helps us what to be cautious of and what to flee. Fear is good but it needs to be understood and used for our good and for God’s glory.  When we fear the one who is most powerful we give God glory. If we fear someone or something that shows our lack of trust in God then we dishonor him.  If we know Jesus is for us then our fear is to not love him and give him glory. Disappointing an almighty God is a scary place to be even though we know that he loves us. Let us use the gift of fear to bring Jesus glory by fearing when we do not obey him and not fear what he...

Hear and keep his word

Luke 11: 28 “But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”  Jesus is the creator God who holds and keeps everything says that blessed is his creation who hear and keep his words.  We need to listen and obey him if we want true joy.  Jesus could tell us to obey or die, but he is a loving, compassionate God who wants us to be happy.  We are truly blessed when we hear and obey his word!  May the Holy Spirit give us the power and desire to hear and keep his word. For Jesus glory and our joy.  Amen

Jesus knows the Father

Luke 10: 22 “All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”  This verse is full of theology of who is God. Jesus is the only one who knows the father.  If you think you know God and not Jesus you are mistaken. If you think you know Jesus and not know God you are mistaken. When Jesus becomes your savior, Lord, and king it happened because he revealed himself to you, by the Holy Spirit and your eyes were open to that marvelous truth. When we feel strong affection to the father and to the son we should praise God for giving us that desire.  If we feel cold, away from God and despair, we need to pray and ask Jesus to restore our love for him and his saving grace. He loves to give you your hearts desire when you want to desire him! What a great God we serve.  For Jesus glory and our joy.  Amen

Ask if you don’t understand

Luke 9: 44-45 “Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” 45 But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying. “ Have you ever read something in the Bible that you didn’t understand?  Of course you have, so what do you do?  Do you ignore it and move on, look up commentaries on what they think it means, or pray about it to Jesus? In verse 45 it said that the apostles didn’t understand Jesus because it was concealed from them. Knowledge without understanding is often meaningless. The truths of the Bible are the path of life. They are always true even if we don’t understand them. We need to ask the Lord what his word means to us today.  They may not be useful now but will be needed and understood later.  Jesus knows our needs and knows the future so we must trust him and his word to meet all our needs by...

Blessings not to be offended

Blessed is the one who is not offended by me.  Do we hide our relationship with Jesus because people would think us crazy?  Do you believe in a old story that only children believe?  And do you really believe that Jesus rose from the dead?  Yes,yes, yes!  But I still sometimes hide him from others in my conversations.  Oh this should not be!  Blessings come when we share God’s good news in Jesus.  Joy comes with singing of his glory.  Love comes when our hearts are turned to his laws and cheerfully obey them.  Let’s let our light shine so they will see his good works through us and glorify our Lord God!  Thank you Jesus

Die to Jesus

Luke 9: 24-25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?  The longer we live then more certain we are that we need help. Little children say “I can do it, it is mine”, and we grin because we know that it is not true.  Unfortunately this spirit of independence stays with us and we become deceived in thinking we are in charge of our life. Jesus knows how much we need him. Without me you can do nothing!  If we lose our life for or to Jesus we become free to live.  The worry of obtaining, controlling and loving are gone. They are put at the feet of the Lord.  Jesus loves us and will provide all we need.  Forever!  So let us die daily and be filled with Jesus by the Holy Spirit.  Praise you Jesus.  Amen

Love and fear Jesus

Luke 8:38-39 “The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.“ This story about the man with the many demons which Jesus healed was to show the glory of Jesus, the Son of the most high God. Every event in the story tells us Jesus is in complete control of the situation.  Demons know who Jesus was and begged him not to send them to the abyss.  Jesus gives permission and they went into the pigs. The village people begged Jesus, because of fear of his power to leave.  The healed man begged Jesus to come with him but Jesus said stay and tell others what God has done for you. The man obeyed and told the village people what Jesus (God) did for him!  We as believers see Jesus as loving and forgiving, which he is, but never forget that he is the Lord God almighty ...

Good soil patience

Luke 8:15 “As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.” Have you heard the good news that the kingdom of God has been open by the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sin?  If so then what have you done with this great news?  Jesus said in this verse that people who are the good soil hold the seed in honest and good hearts and produce fruit with patience. The words of God change your heart and keep your heart wanting more of God.  For out of the heart comes love and hate, holiness and evil, righteous and sin. Good soil will continue to take in the word of God and with patience produce fruit of righteousness.  Lord give us hearts that desire you everyday and give us the gift of patience knowing that you are working in us for your glory and our joy.  Amen

Love God much

Luke7: 47 “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Are you a hopeless sinner or a comfortable sinner? Have you asked Jesus lately to forgive your sinfulness?  If you are desperate and cannot help yourself you look for someone to help you. If  someone assists you your thankfulness is great. You would love that person. When we realize that our sins are many and they are killing us we, by faith, turn to Jesus for help in desperation and he forgives us of our sins by grace on the cross. We love him because he first loves us and reveals to us how to live holy in his presence.  When we understand our need for Jesus and the treasure he is we learn to love him with all of our heart through the Holy Spirit living in us. We are truly blessed. Thank you Jesus, Amen

What is your treasure?

“As you enter the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:12-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What is a worthy town and house?  One that receives the truth about Jesus. Do they believe in the good news of Jesus.  Faith realizes the treasure Jesus really is and embraces him with all their heart.  Whatever other treasures they have do not compare to Jesus.  Lord help us believe in Jesus more and more each day.  Amen

What’s in your heart?

Luke 6: 45 “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.“  What is in your heart?  God knows and we can tell by what comes out of our mouth.  What we say matters and is a good indicator of what we treasure. If we speak negatively, complaining, fearful, sarcastic, and angry most often, then we are not receiving our hearts treasure. If we have received our treasure then our words will be loving, joy, praise and complimentary.  We need to fill our hearts with God as our treasure and he will never disappoint us if we believe his words. If we substitute Jesus for gold, silver, power, health, etc., we will always be speaking negative.  So we need to check our heart often by noticing what comes out of our mouth.  Lord Jesus help us to make you our hearts treasure.  For your glory and our joy.  Amen

Pray for faith

Luke 6:10-11 “And after looking around at them all he said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored. 11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.” The Pharisees saw the miracles and powerful words Jesus did and they did not believe. In fact they hated him and wanted to kill him. We often think if only a nonbeliever would hear this message or see how loving this person is to them then they will believe.  It is possible only if God gives them faith. If not they often become harder against Jesus.  If we ”believe” it is a gift and need to thank Jesus and ask him for more faith.  For those we are witnessing to we need to continue to ask God to give them faith and to use us in that gift process.  For we can do nothing spiritual without the Holy Spirit.  Lord I believe help my unbelief.  Thank you Jesus for loving us and giving us faith in you. For Jesus glory and our joy. Amen

Faith leads to repentance

Luke 5:8 “But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”  When God opens your eyes to the truths of Jesus you realize that you are sinful and need healing.  Many people think they are ok, pretty good, and no need to be saved. They have not received the faith to believe in God.  When we see who Jesus is and who we truly are, we desire to be forgiven.  Repentance is a gift from God because Jesus came to heal the sick not the healthy.  Until we see Jesus face to face we will struggle with our sinful nature and therefore will have to come to Jesus for help in the struggle or forgiveness when we fail.  But be of good cheer, Jesus will never leave us alone but will help us whenever will call to him in faith.  We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Thank you Jesus for loving us.  Amen
