A new kingdom

 “Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭31‬ ‭ESV‬‬


Satan since the fall had control over the souls of mankind.  When Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins a new mankind was forming that was no more a slave to Satan because of our sins.  Jesus paid for our sins and made us free to love and serve him.  Jesus is making a new kingdom of new people that are sons of God.  They are those who are born again and are in the process of glorification through the Holy Spirit.  Those who are a part of the family of God rejoice and worship their savior God Jesus Christ.  Praise you Lord.  Amen

A chosen privilege

 “And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have not chosen God's love first, it is God who has chosen us.  What a glorious and tremendous responsibility.  The God of the universe has chosen us to represent him in his world.  With this truth placed deep in our heart we must love Jesus and others more than ourselves because that is the character of God.  Our privilege and responsibility is huge.  We must submit to the Holy Spirit to live righteously for we are witnesses to king Jesus.  Amen

Be sober for the day

 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is called the morning star, bringing light into this evil dark world.  When we taste and see that the Lord is good we live in his light which is called day.  Paul encouraged us to be sober in preparing for Jesus' return.  He means to mentally and spiritually be clear in our thinking about our faith. To be self disciplined, and vigilant concerning our hope and belief in Jesus' love and presence.  When doubt and danger tempt us we need to stay sober and put on the armor of God and trust in the Lord.   Lord help us to be ready to serve you by loving you and others until you come.  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen
