Incorruptible love

”Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible.“

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭24‬ ‭ESV‬‬


Love incorruptible means loving without the ability to be corrupt.  So how can we love Jesus that way?  On our own it is impossible but since our love for Jesus is a gift from God it will never be corrupt.  So if we feel like our love for Jesus is lacking or not what it should be, our first response is to pray and ask God to fill us with love.  We  must realize everything we need comes from God as a gracious gift, therefore we must ask for what we need and rejoice when we receive his love.  Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen.

A chosen privilege

 “And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have not chosen God's love first, it is God who has chosen us.  What a glorious and tremendous responsibility.  The God of the universe has chosen us to represent him in his world.  With this truth placed deep in our heart we must love Jesus and others more than ourselves because that is the character of God.  Our privilege and responsibility is huge.  We must submit to the Holy Spirit to live righteously for we are witnesses to king Jesus.  Amen

Be sober for the day

 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is called the morning star, bringing light into this evil dark world.  When we taste and see that the Lord is good we live in his light which is called day.  Paul encouraged us to be sober in preparing for Jesus' return.  He means to mentally and spiritually be clear in our thinking about our faith. To be self disciplined, and vigilant concerning our hope and belief in Jesus' love and presence.  When doubt and danger tempt us we need to stay sober and put on the armor of God and trust in the Lord.   Lord help us to be ready to serve you by loving you and others until you come.  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen
