Depend on God

”Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.“

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬


Be strong in the strength of the Lord God.  How strong is God?There is no power anywhere that compares with God's might.  All power comes from God therefore, what we need to do more than anything is to be on God's side.  When God is for us we are totally safe, nothing can harm us.  Our greatest need and desire is to know Jesus better each day for those who know him will rejoice in him now and desire being with him forever.  Pray without ceasing, means to have a relationship with God that trust, believes, and depends on him all the time!  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen

A chosen privilege

 “And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have not chosen God's love first, it is God who has chosen us.  What a glorious and tremendous responsibility.  The God of the universe has chosen us to represent him in his world.  With this truth placed deep in our heart we must love Jesus and others more than ourselves because that is the character of God.  Our privilege and responsibility is huge.  We must submit to the Holy Spirit to live righteously for we are witnesses to king Jesus.  Amen

Be sober for the day

 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is called the morning star, bringing light into this evil dark world.  When we taste and see that the Lord is good we live in his light which is called day.  Paul encouraged us to be sober in preparing for Jesus' return.  He means to mentally and spiritually be clear in our thinking about our faith. To be self disciplined, and vigilant concerning our hope and belief in Jesus' love and presence.  When doubt and danger tempt us we need to stay sober and put on the armor of God and trust in the Lord.   Lord help us to be ready to serve you by loving you and others until you come.  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen
