Honest God Truth

 March 30, 2022 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭23:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬ All my needs, desires, hopes and joy is found in Jesus.  There is nothing better, bigger, stronger or more glorious than being with the Lord.  Jesus please give me eyes to see your beauty today and desire you more than anything.  Amen 

 March 29, 2022 “Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Truth is what everyone wants to possess but to receive truth that is counter to your ways is difficult to accept.  That is why we are to speak the truth in love because without love truth oftens puffs up into pride.  Jesus thank you for be truth itself and showing us to love your truth to others.  Amen 

 March 28, 2023 “And have mercy on those who doubt;” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This statement is so powerful for we all at sometime doubt.  We doubt many things starting with God, friends, family, ourselves.  Can anyone or anything be trustworthy?  Yes, it is Jesus and that is why he is so merciful for he knows we often doubt and fall short of being faithful.  Lord let us live knowing two things that you are faithful and merciful and we and others doubt at times causing us to disobey.  Let us show mercy to others as we receive your mercy.  Amen 

 March 26, 2022 “It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How easy it is to become worldly, we don’t have to do anything but coast.  If we are not putting on the armor of God daily we will be easy prey to our sinful selfish passions.  All believers in Jesus have been given the Holy Spirit but we must engage in him to live by faith in God’s promises found in his word.  Lord Jesus help me to die to my sinfulness and put on your Holy Spirit so I may follow the narrow path of your righteousness.  All for your glory Jesus.  Amen 

 March 25, 2022 “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What does it mean to baptize into and put on Christ?  It may mean that the inside of you, your heart, receives the Holy Spirit when you believe.  The Holy Spirit starts to motive your desires to please, trust, obey and love Jesus.  These inward desires begin to shape your outer self to act, care, live and love others.  That is how Jesus acted, therefore we have put on Jesus in a true way.  Lord help us to become like you inside and out.  Amen 

 March 25, 2022 Jesus it is easy to turn away from you when sinful temptations arise, I ask you to stir up in me a heart that only finds joy in you.  Let me turn from all temptations and run into your open arms that will satisfy all my wants, needs and desires.  Amen 

 March 23, 2022 “You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18:35‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This description is powerful for it shows God salvation and his gentleness.  The wisdom of God is foolish to mankind for salvation is strength but it comes from humility.  Jesus died on the cross a sign of weakness but it was the power of God to all who believe.  Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen 

 March 17, 2022 “Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:34‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How easy it is to sin when we are not truly awake.  We are in a battle for the souls of people starting with our own.  Jesus paid the price and we need to trust and believe in his finished work.  That takes sober intentionality to trust in his promises.  Sleeping and meandering along is a sign for disaster that should motivate us to pray and seek the Lord’s help.  Jesus keep us alert so we may win the battle for your victory has already been won.   Amen 

 March 15, 2022 We are saved through faith in Jesus work on the cross to save a sinner like me.  Therefore there is no boasting by the one who is saved.  And we know that we have faith by our fruit of obedience. No fruit no faith.  Lord help me to know, believe and praise my relationship with you so I may glorify your name today and forever.  Amen 

 March 13, 2022 “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:7, 13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Love is the power and joy to have a perfect relationship with sinless beings.  That is why it endures forever because it is how the Trinity  relate to each other.  When we are born again by the Holy Spirit we receive this love because of Jesus’s blood that cleanses us from all sin.  We then can love others because we know God loves us.  We love others because we believe that God is in complete control and can trust him because of his love for us through Jesus.  This love believers, bears, hopes and endures all things because it comes from Jesus and sealed in our heart by the Holy Spirit.  Lord let us love you with all our heart and our neighbors as well.  We praise and worship you Lord Jesus our God.  Amen 

 March 11, 2022 “But even Titus, who was with me, was not forced to be circumcised, though he was a Greek.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God works on the heart and if our heart is filled with love for Jesus we want to please the Lord.  God wants us as cheerful givers and believers.  The difficulty is our heart often gets cold and loves itself and others things replacing our love for God.  Then our actions toward God are obligations not out of love.  Since God knows our hearts desires and wants us to love him we must ask God everyday to fill us with his love so we can love him and others with holy desires not obligations.  Jesus renew a right spirit in us today.  Amen 

 March 9, 2022 “But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We live by every word from the mouth of God.  Jesus is God and everything comes from him because he created all things.  We must learn to trust Jesus with our very life for without him we can do nothing.  Jesus please help me to trust in you.  Amen 

 March 6, 2022 “For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We come to believe in the truth of Jesus’s perfect life, atoning death and justifying resurrection by his gracious gift of faith.  We can’t inherit faith, we can’t make it up on our own.  It only comes as a gift that we humbly and wonderfully receive.  Therefore there is no boasting but only praise and worship to our Lord and king Jesus. Please Lord grant that we glorify you today.  Amen 

 March 4, 2022 We are saved by the free gift of Jesus life, death, and resurrection if we believe it.  That belief is called faith and we know we believe by how we think, talk, and act.  Our faith’s purpose is to give Jesus all the glory for what he has done for us.  Jesus help me to shine for you today.  Amen 

 March 4, 2022 “Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This verse has convicted me of my prideful knowledge that possess me often in Bible studies and other discussions concerning the Bible.  Am I defending the sacredness of scripture and lifting up Jesus or trying to win a point?  Because I think I know the correct answer am I loving the person who I think is wrong?  This verse tells me when I wound their conscience I sin against God.  Jesus said when you do this to the least of these you do it against me.  If I have been given insight to some understanding of scripture I must use this gift to love and encourage others not proudly prove my correctness.  For if love is not the motivation for my speak than it is just noise!  Jesus help me to love first before I speak.  Amen
