The power of the Holy Spirit

Nov 30, 2021 “who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The law is for those who break it and are condemned.  It is outside us keeping us from danger.  The Holy Spirit is inside us teaching us to follow the law and reminding us when we break the law there is forgiveness by the blood of Jesus.  The law points a need for a savior where the Holy Spirit gives us power to fulfill the law and the way to overcome the penalty of breaking the law.  Jesus provided all this for us.  Lord help us to honor you with everything we do.  Amen

Pray to God

Nov 30, 2021 Read Matthew 6:5-7(ESV) “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you”  We need to realize we are talking to the God of the universe that is our father. Amazing!  We know he knows all things and is in control of all things.  We must ask him for his help to live the next moment to honor him and to forgive us when we dishonor him.  We must be honest with him for he knows us better than we know ourselves. And we must have confidence to know that he hears us, loves us, and will bless us with exactly what we need. We must pray often and honestly to the Lord. Thank you Jesus, Amen

Share the love of Jesus

Nov 29, 2021 Matthew 6:1-2 (ESV) “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.” When you experience the love and forgiveness of Jesus you want to love others.  That is seen by praising God with our words and deeds.  Our deeds are a reflection of Jesus’s goodness and worth.  It should not be a demonstration of your love and worth. Therefore check your heart and see if it is flowing with humble thankfulness to the Lord or with pride of self.  Jesus help us to experience your love so we can share it with others.  Amen

Jesus is God!

Nov 28, 2021 “Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:58‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This wonderful chapter where Jesus was declaring he came from God his Father and his Father was with him.  He proclaimed his words were true and lasting.  He told of his relationship with the Father and he concluded with the amazing words that before Abraham was “I am”!  Jesus is the living God!  Let us worship and praise him and give him all the glory.  You are awesome Jesus my Lord, Savior and God. Amen

Peace from God

Nov 28, 2021 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What is the peace of God and how can you experience it?  It is a safety you feel when your circumstances seem fearful. It is comfort you have when their are trials every day.  Peace from God is supernatural meaning it does not come from natural occurrences.  It comes from Jesus sending his love to us through the Holy Spirit.  Then the Holy Spirit will remind you of God’s word that you hide in your heart that will comfort you and keep you safe.  One of my favorites is Jesus said he will never leave us or forsake us!  Therefore we must ask Jesus to give us peace that will guard our hearts and minds.  Trust Jesus he is faithful.  Amen

Jesus the answer to your questions

Nov 27, 2021 “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”” ‭‭John‬ ‭7:37-38‬ ‭ESV‬‬ You only come to Jesus if you believe in him.  When you have a need you try to meet it.  Asking questions often come from unanswered needs. This produces doubt in the prognosis and we turn to something else to help us.  So believing in Jesus is the source of living water and that is what our life needs.  The power to make our lives right by the Holy Spirit and the Word.  All our needs are found in Jesus who gives us the Spirit and the Word.  Lord help us to believe in you.  Amen

Our hope is sure in Jesus

Nov 26, 2021 “So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:17-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬ If our hope in Jesus’s saving us is sometimes weak we can have confidence in his promises of preparing a place for us and coming to us to be with him.  God made an oath to Abraham that he would save all those who hope in God.  Jesus was the way it happened and Jesus continues to pray and make intersessions for us today.  Our hope is sure in Jesus so we can have certainty because He is God.  Amen

Know your heart

Nov 25, 2021 “For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:4-6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How do you know you are secure in God’s saving love for you?  Deep in your heart you love Jesus and hate your sin.  Then you must ask how do I know what is in my heart?  That which is in the heart comes out in though, words and actions.  Therefore we must examine ourselves and see if there is anything in our hearts that keeps us from the light of the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  If there is we must daily confess our sins and turn to Jesus our high priest who will forgive us and fill us with his love.  He does this ...

Thankfully Found

Nov 25, 2021 Luke 15:2-5 “So he told them this parable: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.” Prone to wander Lord I feel it prone to leave the one I love.  We are all sinful, full of pride and we who have been found by Jesus are full of thanksgiving for being found and brought back to him. Let us stay connected to Jesus so he can use us to find other people who are wandering away from him. We thank you and praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen

Love the sinner hate the sin

Nov 24, 2021 “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We mature when we see right and wrong both in ourselves and others.  We learn to hate the sin but love the sinner.  When we recognize Jesus working in our worlds we desire to embrace the good and flee the evil.  When we hide God’s words in our hearts we are able to walk the narrow path of righteousness.  Yes we fall but by God’s grace we have the desire and ability to get up and keep moving to the goal of becoming like Jesus.  Lord we want and need you today.  Amen

Watch and pray

Nov 23, 2021 “And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:40-41‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. This is what we should pray when we are watching what is happening in our lives.  God is sovereign and we have the gift of knowing that truth.  We must watch what Jesus is doing and ask him for help to flee temptation.  If we don’t watch or don’t pray we will fall into temptation.  Jesus help us to see you working and ask you for help in our daily walk so we will glorify your name.  Amen

Hold fast your confession

Nov 22, 2021 “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is our high priest, why do we need him in that role?  Because we sin.  And it is not ok to sin and want to be in the presence of God.  So what is our confession that we must hold on to?  We are sinners saved by grace alone which is a free gift, through faith. Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead for my justification.  If we don’t daily realize who we are and what Jesus has done and is doing for us then we may drop our confession and shipwreck our faith.  Lord help us to hold fast our confession of you today.  Amen

Jesus in all scripture

Nov 22, 2021 “ You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:39-40, 46‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Scripture tells us that Yahweh is God.  He loves, he is just and he is merciful.  And Yahweh became flesh and lived with us in Jesus the Messiah.  If you read the Old Testament and not see Jesus through out it your eyes have not been opened to know the Jesus is God.  Lord help us to see and hear and obey you Jesus Christ.  Amen  59/jhn.5.39-46.ESV

Learning to choose faith

Nov 21, 2021 “Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” And he himself believed, and all his household.” ‭‭John‬ ‭4:50, 53‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The lesson here might be that belief in Jesus is an ongoing thing.  It grows stronger and weaker during our lives as we learn to obey and trust Jesus or not.  The more we trust the more we believe and the greater our joy.  Each day we choose and my prayer is that I choose to honor and trust you Jesus today.  Amen

We need the word of God

Nov 21, 2021 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Do you know why you do what you do?  There are large fields of study to answer that question.   Helpful yes but without the word of God we can’t get to the heart of it.  If we are looking for love, joy and peace we must read and meditate on scripture.  For it along is the very words of God.  Jesus please draw us to your word today so we may honor you in our thoughts and actions.  Amen

Check your faith in Jesus

Nov 20, 2021 “So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What is believing in Jesus really mean?  If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart you will be saved.  So belief is a heart and word issue.  What truly motivates you to act?  What comes out of your mouth when you speak? Do you desire to love others more than yourself? Does your speak indicate that you love Jesus and share his love with others?  We need to evaluate our desires and speech to see if unbelief is creeping into us.  Because without faith we can’t please God.  Jesus please help our belief in you stay strong today.  Amen

Our eternal home

Nov 19, 2021 “But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Our glory is that we who believe have eternal life in, by, and through the Lord Jesus.  That truth is our confidence in being part of God’s household, his family and our future hope.  Jesus help us to stand strong in your love and trust that you will never leave us and will carry us to our eternal home with you.  Amen

Jesus died to take away fear of death

Nov 28, 2021 “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:14-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Jesus came to earth for many wonderful things by revealing God to us.  One of the things he did is die and rose from the dead.  Mankind ever since Adam feared death because of our sin.  When Jesus choose to die who knew no sin he took away the fear of death because he rose from the dead, for Satan had no power over him.  We as believers died when Jesus died and will rise as Jesus has rose because of our faith in him.  There is now no commendation for those who are in Christ by faith.  So Jesus took away the fear of death and by grace has given us eternal life with and in him.  Amen

Miracles to save sinners

Nov 17, 2021 “while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Why did Jesus do miracles when he was on earth?  To testify that he was the Messiah, the Son of God.  The miracles revealed that Jesus had the power to satisfy all the requirements of God’s law perfectly.  When we see Jesus in the gospels we see the God of the universe in human form.  He possessed all the power and love to stop the wind and die for our sins.  The good news of Jesus is amazing! Lord help us believe in you today.  Amen

Searching for permanence

Nov 16, 2021 “And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:10-12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Mankind has a desire for permanence, things that last. We turn to family heritage and traditions , country legacy and  history.   We strive to hold onto our health, the environment, and life styles we enjoy.  But deep down we know that everyone dies and things end.  That is why our hearts were made to be filled with the truth about Jesus.  He is God, Creator, Lord, and Savior.  We must believe in him.  Amen

Born of the Holy Spirit

Nov 16, 2021 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭3:6-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The Holy Spirit comes into the life of whoever the Father and Son chooses.  It does not occur to certain type of people.  It doesn’t happen because we did something, said something or went somewhere.  When the Holy Spirit fills your heart you believe that Jesus is Lord, Savior and God.  You don’t understand why you just believe, then your journey begins and you start to follow Jesus and learn from him.  God thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit please help us to glorify your name today. Amen

Radiance of God’s glory

Nov 15, 2021 “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This verse is such a glorious picture of who Jesus is and what he has done.  The radiance of God’s glory tells us that when you see God’s greatest beauty you see Jesus.  Jesus not only made the universe he keeps it running by his word.  And the main event of all history was when Jesus died for our sins and completed our salvation.  Jesus said it is finished.  We have a supreme Lord.  Thank you Jesus.  Amen

Is Jesus with you

Nov 13, 2021 “And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:34‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Has Jesus touched your life lately in a way that you must tell others about him?  The truth of Jesus living in us by the Holy Spirit is remarkable and we need to expect great things in our life.  Has Jesus lead you to a needy person, give you insight in a situation, comforted you in times of difficulty?  You should tell others of what the Lord has done for and through you.  This gives Jesus the glory he so much deserves.  Jesus help us to be bold and share your love with others by letting them know how wonderful you are to us.  Amen

Give God the glory

Nov 14, 2021 “and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We were made to see God’s glory.  When amazing things happen we give God the credit, not luck, Mother Nature, or our free will.  This glorifies the Lord and we receive great joy and our faith grows.  When trials, disasters, deaths occur it is God judging, and righteously punishing sinfulness.  When we acknowledge his role as sovereign Lord he again receives glory and we receive his peace and our faith in him grows.  Lord Jesus manifest your glory in our lives today so we may trust you more for this is what  you made us for. Amen

Jesus is light and life

Nov 12, 2021 “In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:4-5, 9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is light.  Light is life.  Therefore Jesus is life and without Jesus there is darkness and no life.  People can close their eyes but the light still shines.  They walk around blind and no not where to go.  Jesus is the way and the truth and the light.  Jesus came to gather all his children into his light where there is life evermore with no more darkness caused by sin.  Jesus thank you for opening our eyes to your light that gives life to all who believe.  Amen

Love when it hurts

Nov 12, 2021 Matthew 5:10 (ESV) “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Love your enemy and you may receive differently. When we trust Jesus to think of others more then ourselves difficulty will be a part of the situation. We must learn to receive our praise from Jesus and not mankind.  Lord help us to love others even if it hurts us. Amen

There is power in wisdom

Nov 10, 2021 “Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.” ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Wisdom knows where the power to live comes from, the Lord Jesus.  If you rob God of his glory you provoke his anger and lose the joy of his salvation.  This is the theme of all mankind throughout history and it continues today.  Even though we believers have the Holy Spirit of God living in us we still have the sinful flesh that hates God and does not want to please him.  Therefore we must take up our cross everyday and die to our sinful desires and trust in the Lord’s word.  Your word have I hide in my heart so I might not sin against you.  Help me Jesus to desire you and your word daily.  Amen

Your word is true

Nov 11, 2021 “For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭19:36‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus life and death were all written before by the prophets and psalmists. He lived a perfect life fulfilling every requirement of the law so his death would be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.  God’s plans always come true for nothing can stop them.  Lord help us to love your word and know it is true.  Let us have confidence that your love for us is real and lasting.  Amen

Be strong in love

Nov 9, 2021 “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭16:13-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Love and strength are not opposed to each other but depend on one another. God so loved the world that he sent Jesus.  The power of God is made known by his love.  When we need to love our enemies or anyone we are in conflict with the strength of God’s love will enable us to act kindly, selflessly and with patience. Jesus help us by your love to be strong.  Amen

Death where is your sting

Nov 8, 2021 “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:56-57‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Death has a consequence because we are sinners. The law proves our guilt because we cannot obey it perfectly.  Therefore death has a sting of punishment.  But God made a way to remove the sting of death.  It is the good news of the gospel. We are forgiven by the blood of Jesus.  He lived a perfect life and died for all who believe in him.  Oh what a Savior and friend. Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen

Trust and love Jesus

Nov 7, 2021 “But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:38‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When you start comparing yourself with others; smarter, taller, more hair, better looking, or when you were younger, you are not trusting Jesus.  God gives us all we need for as long as he chooses.  Now that might seem unfair if there are areas you would want to change.  That is because you are not listening to God and becoming your own boss.  Learning to trust Jesus for your life is an ongoing, humbling process.  Change happens and the Lord plans it out perfectly for his glory and your joy.  If you want to be happy, truly happy, learn to love and trust Jesus’ words and listen to his guidance. He is faithful and just and loves you very much.  Amen

Let Jesus love flow

Nov 6, 2021 “Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:34‬ ‭ESV‬‬ If you know God you want to share him with others.  Jesus is like a flowing river that wells up in you and must flow out.  If you have experienced his love you share it with those around you.  If you don’t experience his love daily you will have nothing to share.  Lord help us to experience your love today and share it with others.  Amen

Rise from the dead

Nov 5, 2021 “For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:21-22‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Through Adam all people die and through Jesus all people will be raised from the dead.  Some to eternal life with Jesus because he choose to forgive them by dying for their sins.  Some to eternal suffering because they choose not to believe on Jesus.  Jesus is the most important person in the universe for everyone who has and will live.  Jesus help us trust and love you.  Amen

Repent again

Nov 6, 2021 Mark 1:14-15 (ESV) “Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”  Repent, repent and repent.  This is the pattern of those who know their sinfulness and Jesus’s love and righteousness.  If Jesus wasn’t loving we would be afraid to come to him for forgiveness.  If Jesus wasn’t righteous we would find no need to turn from our sins.  Therefore we must know ourselves and Jesus for we must turn from our sins and turn to our savior and Lord and friend Jesus Christ.  All praise and glory is yours Jesus.  Amen

Live by and in grace

Nov 4, 2021 “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This is how all believers live their lives for Jesus.  By grace and in grace.  God gives us all we have and who we are because without him we can do nothing.  Therefore we work with all diligence to show the Lord Jesus that we are grateful for his gift of salvation.  When we know how blessed we are we want to share our blessings with others.  Lord Jesus may we always appreciate all you have done and are doing on our lives.  Amen

Jesus is our center

Nov 3, 2021 “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:33‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When our life seems out of control, when we don’t understand what is happening we need to turn to Jesus.  He is the sun in our solar system of emotions.  Trusting his words of love and peace often takes our feelings of chaos and puts them in the correct path centered on him.  When lonely, depressed, scared or frustrated turn to Jesus and his power, peace and love for you will calm the situation and give you hope.  Help us Jesus to keep you in the center of our lives.  Amen

See the glory of the Lord

Nov 3, 2021 “Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”” ‭‭John‬ ‭11:40‬ ‭ESV‬‬ If you want to see the glory of God believe in Jesus. Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God.  When you see love you see Jesus, when you see beauty you see Jesus, and when you see peace you see Jesus.  He is the light of the world.  In him there is no darkness.  See the light and be the light that the world may see Jesus and live.  Amen

Think wisely

Nov 2, 2021 “Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:20‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Mature thinking is knowing and learning the ways to please God.  If you are going to please God you have to get to know him and the best place he is revealed is in scripture.  Jesus said I am the way and the truth and the life no one comes to God but by me.  Learning about the Lord Jesus in the Old Testament, (when you read LORD), and New Testament you are learning who God is and what pleases him.  Evil is not believing in God’s words.  Not trusting him!  Therefore be wise in your thinking and get to know and trust Jesus our Savior and Lord.  Amen

Let the light of Jesus shine

Nov 1, 2021 “Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭9:3-5‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is still in the world bringing light to the darkness through his church, all who believe in him.  Let us who believe share the light of Jesus wherever we may go so the world may know that Jesus loves them, forgives their sins and offers them eternal life and light that will never go out.  Lord please help us shine for you today. For your glory Jesus.  Amen

Love shown

Nov 1, 2021 “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬ These verses shows us what love in action looks like.  It is impossible to live out because we have a selfish, sinful nature.  But the ideal is shown so we have a goal to obtain if we have the Holy Spirit in us.  These verses should be written on our hearts so we might desire to love God and others more than ourselves. Jesus help us to love like you love so we will know we are in God’s family as your child.  Praise you Lord Jesus,  Amen
