For the joy

 Mark 8:34-36 (ESV)

“And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”

For the joy set before him Jesus endured the cross and its shame for us and for the glory he now has as Lord, Savior and King of all.

We have the promise of be the children of God and sitting with Jesus in heaven.  The joy is so wonderful it can’t be described in all its glory. Many people suffer for worldly treasures but we have to go through difficulty’s for an eternal treasure that will never end.  That treasure is Jesus who has now given us his Holy Spirit to live with us now.  There is no comparison of the trials now to the glory in heaven.  Thank you Jesus.  Amen
