A crown of grace
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”
This is a wonderful verse that we will receive a reward for the gift of God. All that we do and all that we have, including our faith, is a gift of God. Everyday we choose to love and follow Jesus. When we allow his Spirit to guide and direct us we honor him and glorify his name. When we choose to be selfish and fall into temptation and sin we run to Jesus mercy and grace and that glorifies him. So what ever we do, by word or deed we must do to the glory of God through Jesus our Lord and Savior. Then in heaven we receive a reward for being loved and obedient to Jesus. Amazing grace! Amen
