Forgiveness or judgment

 Ezekiel 30:10-12 “Thus says the Lord GOD:


“I will put an end to the wealth of Egypt,

by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. 11He and his people with him, the most ruthless of nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land, and they shall draw their swords against Egypt and fill the land with the slain. 12And I will dry up the Nile and will sell the land into the hand of evildoers; I will bring desolation upon the land and everything in it,

by the hand of foreigners;

I am the LORD; I have spoken.


The Lord uses who he chooses for his good pleasure. We must know the Lord and what he desires if we don’t what to experience his wrath. What a blessing to have been given the commandments of the Lord. God reveals to us what he wants from us and we must obey for our happiness.  God gives us eternal life in Jesus and if we desire to know him and trust him and he will be our God and dwell with us forever.  Apart from the love of Jesus is God’s judgment on us. May we learn that wisdom comes when we fear the Lord and turn to him for our salvation. Jesus will either forgive us by his blood or judge us by his righteousness.  Let us desire his love today.  Amen

A chosen privilege

 “And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have not chosen God's love first, it is God who has chosen us.  What a glorious and tremendous responsibility.  The God of the universe has chosen us to represent him in his world.  With this truth placed deep in our heart we must love Jesus and others more than ourselves because that is the character of God.  Our privilege and responsibility is huge.  We must submit to the Holy Spirit to live righteously for we are witnesses to king Jesus.  Amen

Be sober for the day

 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is called the morning star, bringing light into this evil dark world.  When we taste and see that the Lord is good we live in his light which is called day.  Paul encouraged us to be sober in preparing for Jesus' return.  He means to mentally and spiritually be clear in our thinking about our faith. To be self disciplined, and vigilant concerning our hope and belief in Jesus' love and presence.  When doubt and danger tempt us we need to stay sober and put on the armor of God and trust in the Lord.   Lord help us to be ready to serve you by loving you and others until you come.  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen
