Jesus loves his church

 Song of Solomon 1:2-4 “Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine; 3your anointing oils are fragrant;

your name is oil poured out; therefore virgins love you. 4Draw me after you; let us run.

The king has brought me into his chambers.


Love is a very important part of Christ’s love for his church. In the Book Songs of Solomon, he describes love between a man and women which represents Jesus love towards his church his chosen people.  Let us learn the type of love our savior offers us so we know how much he loves us and how much we should love him. When we enter into his presence is fullness of love and wonder.  Our joy will be overwhelming and undeserved.  Oh Lord Jesus let me love you more today.  Amen

A chosen privilege

 “And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ We have not chosen God's love first, it is God who has chosen us.  What a glorious and tremendous responsibility.  The God of the universe has chosen us to represent him in his world.  With this truth placed deep in our heart we must love Jesus and others more than ourselves because that is the character of God.  Our privilege and responsibility is huge.  We must submit to the Holy Spirit to live righteously for we are witnesses to king Jesus.  Amen

Be sober for the day

 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus is called the morning star, bringing light into this evil dark world.  When we taste and see that the Lord is good we live in his light which is called day.  Paul encouraged us to be sober in preparing for Jesus' return.  He means to mentally and spiritually be clear in our thinking about our faith. To be self disciplined, and vigilant concerning our hope and belief in Jesus' love and presence.  When doubt and danger tempt us we need to stay sober and put on the armor of God and trust in the Lord.   Lord help us to be ready to serve you by loving you and others until you come.  Come soon Lord Jesus come soon.  Amen
