Beauty can’t be hidden!

Song of Solomon 6:1-3  “Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned,

that we may seek him with you? 2My beloved has gone down to his garden to the beds of spices, to graze in the gardens and to gather lilies. 3I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine; he grazes among the lilies.”

Solomon here is describing another aspect of beauty and love that is part of being human made in the image of God.  Beauty is attractive not only to the beloved but to bystanders who see and admire beauty.  It is hard to hide a beautiful thing.  God wants us to share his love and beauty with others but in a way that strengthens our love for him not diminishes it.  Another part of love is that you have to wait for it and trust that your lover is preparing him/herself for you.  God’s timing is perfect and it always takes patience to wait on the Lord.  He is faithful and true and will never forsake you.  It is always true that the Lord Jesus keeps his promises and is the bright and morning star that will bless you and comfort you forever with his amazing, beautiful glory.  Amen
