Responding to Jesus’ corrections
Luke 4: 29 “And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff.” When Jesus was in his home town he could not do many miracles because they did not believe in him. If we read parts of the Bible that reveal to us that we are sinning how do we respond? Sinning comes from unbelief in God’s word. When the people in his town listened to Jesus point out their sin they were so angry that the tried to get rid of him and throw him off a cliff! When we read that our actions go against God’s word do we rip out the page and throw it away? If we try to get rid of Jesus and his word we are in a very dangerous place. We should instead get on our knees and repent from displeasing God, our Lord and Savior. He died for us and his words are life to our souls. Pray to the Lord that he opens our heart, and eyes to his love and direction for our lives. Trust in th...
