Honest God Truth

 Nov 29, 2023 “keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How do you keep yourself in the love of God?  Not how do you love God but how do you receive God's love forever?  We must realize there is nothing we can do to deserve God's love.  We must humble ourselves and hallow God's name which is his very being.  The more you honor and praise him the more you realize that he loves you.  We must desire him, love him and obey him out of reverence and awe.  These response to his love will keep us on his love forever.  Lord God help us to keep ourselves in your love each day.  Amen

 Nov 29, 2023 “It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The knowledge of the truth of Jesus has been revealed by God throughout history.  And it is still being revealed through the lives of believers.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.  What a savior we have that the whole world needs to know him.  For he is the corner stone or stumbling stone.  There is no other choice!  Praise you Lord Jesus. Amen

 Nov 28, 2023 “obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The reason why we are believers is for our souls to be saved in Jesus.  We have a relationship with God that will last forever.  That fact is the source of our joy.  We are saved by grace and it's wonderful.  Thank you Jesus. Amen

 Nov 15, 2023 “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When we want to give back to the Lord what we should do is to have a humble heart of thanksgiving.  When we know that all things come from God and he loves us so much we want to give back to him in an appreciation is humble acceptance of his grace.  The more you know God the more humble you become out of grateful love.  Lord help us to know you more today.  

 Nov 13, 2023 “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” ‭‭James‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This definition of wisdom sounds like humility and one that listens more than gives advice.  Why would someone seek out advice from someone who mainly listens?  If we truly trust and wait upon the Lord for him to guide and direct then that wisdom looks like humbleness.  Jesus help us to be wise in your sight.  Amen 

 Nov 12, 2023 “Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Why didn't Jesus come out of the fire?  It seems like this would be the question on their mind.  Yes they were not consumed but deduction would say the fourth person in the fire was protecting them.  So often when things happen the attention is on the result and not on the why.  As believers in Jesus we must proclaim the why and it is always Jesus our Lord and God.  Let your light of truth shine in this dark world.  

 Nov 10, 2023 “My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145‬:‭21‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Our speech is of great effect.  It can bring joy or cursing depending on the topic.  We as believers are called to praise the Lord at all times.  The Lord is worthy of our praise and when we boldly tell of his grace, mercy and love situations change.  Words are powerful and when we praise the Lord God his honor and glory will be magnified. We were made to praise the Lord.  Amen 

 Nov 6, 2023 “If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Throughout scripture there are examples of great faith and no faith in God.  Great faith glorifies God and no faith often receives God's wrath.  This is how God established and judges behavior.  Sometimes God honors faith immediately and judges no faith immediately which gives amazing results.  Most times it's delayed and that is where Satan comes in with doubt.  We must believe that every action will be judged righteously by God.  Oh the grace of Jesus that takes our lack of faith and gives us faith in him.  Praise you Lord Jesus.  Amen

 Nov 6, 2023 “But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice,” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭9‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God's throne is not only for justice it was made to have justice.  God is just and there can be no justice without him.  He has the power, love and righteousness to rule the entire world.  Lord I trust in you for making all things right.  Amen

 Nov 3, 2023 “King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. He set it up on the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭ What is interesting about gold is that it is not strong.  It is beautiful and lasting but it changes its shape.  Heat causes it to melt and ending what imagine it represented.  Therefore you can make gold into any image you want.  And that is usually self satisfying.  Lord you are a rock and a foundation that outflows living water that never ends. We must worship you our lasting God and Savior.  Praise you Jesus.  Amen
